Sound of the Suburbs - 'January 2012'

Sound of the suburbs - is a two hour monthly show presented by Andy Scratch and co-collaborator and fellow Scratcher John 'Vintage' Viney.

The show aims to feature predominantly (but not exclusively) old, new and future music from the suburbs and will more than likely have some kind of Hertfordshire connection. Where there isn’t one a conjuring of a dubious link will occur, like ‘We once did a gig with them and though they are all German’ We’re from Hertfordshire, so that counts! Get the idea? The rules is there to be broken, there shall be no barrier on great music! The show features a ‘vintage vinyl’ section where Andy and ace musical archeologist ‘Vintage’ Viney delve into the dim distant past to unearth gems from long forgotten local(ish) bands! Plus there's the demo drawer and a monthly song about trousers.

Sound of the Suburbs - 'December 2011'

Sound of the suburbs by Andy Scratch - my new monthly show features Predominantly but not exclusively music from the suburbs and will more than likely have some kind of Hertfordshire connection. Where there isn't one I will conjour a dubious link like 'I once did a gig with them and though they are all German' I'm from Hertfordshire... get the idea? The rules is there to be broken, there shall be no barrier on great music!

There will also be no restrictions on age genre or where possible format of track, I just have to like it. The show will also feature a 'vintage vinyl' section where I delve into ancient history to unearth gems from long forgotten local (ish) bands!
